Guitar (electric) instructional DVD for metal guy?

Question by cyranae15243: Guitar (electric) instructional DVD for metal guy?
I'd like to get my son a DVD for learning elec. guitar, specifically metal techniques since that's his favorite genre. He has taken, and continues to take, bass lessons for over a year so has a nodding acquaintance with the guitar. He does practice with some youtube videos but he needs something more structured.
