Q&A: How do u play the bass clef??

Question by CuriousPerson: How do u play the bass clef??
took violin lessons for 2yrs and thought id try keyboard. i got some sheet music and started 2 play but i couldn't get the bass clef right. The notes are D A D and are stacked on top of each other. (the 2nd D is an octave higher than the first). but how do i play it the keys are so far apart. Is this a type of a chord or is it something else?
srry i don't know much bout pianos :P
