Best guitar books for beginners (tabs)?

Question by B X: Best guitar books for beginners (tabs)?
I've been self teaching off a two book series that is really geared more toward kids. It's helped but I've finished both and can't find another book as simple as this one. I cannot read music, just tabs, and I'm still just learning little tricks like hammer on/pull off, etc. Any good books for my skill level?
Also wondering...would learning to read music help me any, or can I generally get by on tabs?
