6 years old too young for guitar lessons?

Question by boofer: 6 years old too young for guitar lessons?
My 6 year old desperatley wants a guitar (like her daddy) and lessons. We're all for it, but I wonder if she is physically capable at this age (hands/fingers). A lot of guitar instructors I've found online require a minimum age of 8 years. Let me know if you've know if kids starting this young, and/or if any physical/ mental learning struggles occured.
